Ashley E. Altick is a Partner and Managing Attorney of The Altick Law Group. In her role, Ashley handles a wide variety of areas focused on helping small businesses.
A problem solver to her core, Ashley enjoys helping small businesses navigate their ever-changing needs—whether it’s starting from scratch and growing, buying and selling pieces of the business or the whole thing, negotiating with vendors, helping with employee-related matters, or any issue that may come up when owning a business. Ashley’s goal is to partner with the business for the long haul!
Born and raised in Dallas, Ashley headed to North Carolina for college, graduating from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy. Ashley received the William Griffith University Service Award for her contributions to the Duke community— one of only 20 to be awarded in her graduating class.
Ashley then joyfully returned to her Dallas roots and attended the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University where she served as a guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children through SMU’s Child Advocacy Clinic.
Ashley started her legal career as a litigator, handling an array of commercial disputes, and she then put that background to use working in-house, both for small businesses and at Fortune 50 companies. Ashley believes strongly in giving back and she willingly offers her legal skills to those who may need it, including local non-profits or folks who may be struggling.
Prior to law school, Ashley worked in a finance role at an airline, working on spreadsheets during the week and flying around the world on the weekends.
When she’s not at her desk, you can find Ashley feeding her adventurous spirit exploring the outdoors, attending small town festivals, or learning new things with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys watching her Duke Blue Devils play basketball, being on the water, or roasting s’mores by the fire when it’s not 110 degrees. Ashley, of course, enjoys spending time with family and friends no matter where it is.
